Our in house assembly department offers fast turnaround prototype and preproduction component assembly services. At H C D the emphasis has always been on quality, and this is reflected in our production personnel and equipment. Our Design and Production departments operate in the same building and are in constant contact with each other. This enables us to fine tune design and assembly procedures, eliminating potentially costly assembly problems at the design stage.

Our extensive capabilities range from single sided PTH technology, to double sided fine pitch. Our automated SMT equipment and hand assembly personnel are able to place devices from large fine pitch QFPs down to 0201 devices and BGAs down to 0.5mm pitch.

We also offer a BGA inspection and rework service, using the latest inspection and rework equipment from Ersa.

RoHS/WEEE

For over three years, HCD have been working closely with bare board manufacturers, component and solder suppliers to develop and implement new processes and procedures to comply with the RoHS and WEEE directives.

During this period we have trialed and evaluated replacement bare board materials and finishes, as well as a number of solder paste compounds.
